Chelsea’s Lauren James and Aggie Beever-Jones, as well as Manchester City’s Khiara Keating, have been nominated for the PFA’s women’s young player of the year award. The winner will be announced next Tuesday at a ceremony in Manchester.

Keating, who won last season’s WSL Golden Glove, kept nine clean sheets for Manchester City in the women’s top-flight, helping her team finish as runners-up in the title race. On the other hand, Lauren James ended the previous season as the WSL’s second-highest scorer, registering 13 goals and two assists in 16 league games for Chelsea.

Aggie Beever-Jones, another nominee, impressed in her senior breakout season for Chelsea, scoring 11 goals in 17 WSL appearances last term. Manchester City’s Jess Park, Grace Clinton, and Maya Le Tissier are also contenders for the award.

Jess Park played a crucial role in City’s attack last season, contributing four goals and five assists in 18 games. Grace Clinton, on loan at Tottenham, showcased her talent with four goals and four assists in 20 WSL games, earning her a senior England call-up. Maya Le Tissier, a solid defender for Manchester United, helped her team win the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history.
