In the latest episode of EastEnders, viewers witnessed Dean Wicks making another twisted move in his quest for freedom. Last week, it was revealed that Dean had enlisted Bernie Taylor’s help in blackmailing Linda Carter over the truth about her brother Keanu’s murder.
As Linda continued to receive threats, Bernie visited Dean again, expressing her doubts about Linda’s involvement in Keanu’s death. Dean managed to convince Bernie that they were close to exposing the true killer and urged her to increase the threats on Linda.
Back in Walford, Linda received an anonymous text warning her that the truth must come to light. Feeling anxious, Linda decided to pull out of her pre-trial meeting. Her son Johnny tried to calm her nerves by giving her alcohol, but this backfired as Linda became tipsy during the meeting, causing the prosecutor to drop her as a witness.
Dean was thrilled by this development, believing that the case against him would now collapse. However, when Bernie wanted to focus on finding Keanu’s real killer, Dean made it clear that it was not his concern. Feeling used and confused, Bernie must now decide whether to come clean about the threats and help take Dean down or to let Linda take the fall for Keanu’s death.
The episode ended with uncertainty hanging over the characters, leaving viewers eager to see how the storyline will unfold in the coming episodes. With tensions rising and loyalties being tested, EastEnders promises more drama and intrigue in the upcoming episodes.
