The family of a young man from Nottinghamshire is grieving after his tragic death in a car accident. Wilf Harvey-Davies, a 23-year-old graduate from Nottingham Trent University, passed away after his car collided with a tree on Barnby Road in Newark on July 15. Described as a “sensitive and kind young man” by his family, Wilf was beloved by everyone he met.
The incident took place early in the morning at around 5:30 am when a member of the public discovered a Volkswagen Golf that had crashed into a tree. Unfortunately, Mr. Harvey-Davies lost his life at the scene of the accident. Nottinghamshire Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the crash to determine the cause.
According to his family, Wilf was cherished by his four siblings and was known for his loving and thoughtful nature. He had a close bond with his siblings and was always considerate of others. Described as wise beyond his years, Wilf had a charming personality that endeared him to many. He had a passion for cars, enjoyed watching YouTube videos with his dad, and was a dedicated supporter of Liverpool FC. Additionally, he loved running, going to the gym, and collecting vinyl records.
After completing his degree in architectural technology, Wilf secured a job as an architectural technologist at the global firm RPS. His family expressed that the loss of Wilf has been incredibly difficult for them but the outpouring of support from loved ones and friends has been a source of comfort. They highlighted the impact Wilf had on those around him, emphasizing that his memory will live on through the lives he touched.
Despite their profound grief, Wilf’s family shared that their faith has helped them cope with the loss. They believe that Wilf would want them to continue living their lives with joy and positivity. A funeral service for Mr. Harvey-Davies is scheduled to take place at Hope Community Methodist Church on Friday, August 9, at 2 pm.
