Well, folks, there’s been quite a scene over in Bolton since the crack of dawn today. Massive clouds of smoke have been billowing into the sky over the industrial estate on Adelaide Street, thanks to a wild fire that broke out in the Daubhill area. Emergency services have been on the scene since the wee hours of the morning, working hard to get the blaze under control. Sounds like a real hot mess out there!
The fire crews were first called to the scene around midnight last night, and they’ve been battling the flames ever since. Both Adelaide Street and the A579 St Helens Road are closed off in all directions as the crews work their magic. The Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) even took to X to warn residents to keep their doors and windows shut tight. I mean, who wants all that smoke seeping into their homes, right?
Residents in the area have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed due to the massive smoke clouds hanging overhead. Firefighters are doing their best to tackle the fire at the industrial unit off Adelaide Street, but it’s no easy task. The A579 St Helens Road is a no-go zone right now, closed off from Adelaide Street to Brandwood Street. Looks like it’s going to be a long day for the crews out there, so let’s all send them some good vibes. Stay safe, Bolton!
