Police in Manchester and Bolton are seeking the public’s help to identify 22 individuals involved in outbreaks of disorder in the area. The incidents occurred in the aftermath of the tragic murder of three Southport girls, sparking protests and clashes in various locations.

One of the incidents took place outside Sainsbury’s supermarket on Mosley Street on August 3 between 3-4pm. If you recognize any of the people in the CCTV images released by the police, you are encouraged to contact them through the MIPP portal Public Portal, call 101, or provide anonymous information through Crimestoppers, quoting ‘Operation Wilton’.

In Manchester city centre, clashes occurred in Piccadilly Gardens on the same day, where two groups were separated by police officers. Images of five men that the police are looking to identify have been released. If you know any of these individuals, reach out to the police or submit information online, quoting ‘Operation Spindle’.

Additionally, the police are seeking information on a man involved in an incident on Oldham Road in Newton Heath on July 31. Disorder erupted near the Holiday Inn following a protest in the evening. If you recognize the man in the image released by the police, contact them through the MIPP portal, call 101, or provide anonymous information through Crimestoppers, quoting ‘Operation Swanmore’.

In Bolton town centre on August 4, 14 arrests were made in relation to outbreaks of disorder. Police are now looking to identify the individuals involved in the incidents. Protesters and counter-protesters gathered in the town centre, and the police are working to investigate the disorder further in hopes of securing additional prosecutions.
