Police are looking for a man in connection with a protest that turned violent near a hotel in Newton Heath, north Manchester. The incident occurred outside the Holiday Inn on Oldham Road, where a group of about 40 people gathered before things escalated. Objects were thrown at police and a bus was also targeted during the chaos.
Following the protest, one man has already pleaded guilty to violent disorder in court, but the investigation is ongoing. To aid in their efforts, Greater Manchester Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe can assist with the case. A spokesperson for GMP stated that they are actively investigating the disorder that occurred on July 31, 2024, and are seeking information on the person in the released photo.
