The Dublin County Dog Shelter is urgently seeking help to find the owners of a dog named Izzy who was abandoned at Dublin Airport. Izzy, a German shepherd, has been in the care of the shelter since Saturday when she was found locked inside a parked car by airport staff.

The shelter made a post on their Facebook page stating that Izzy was wearing a harness and collar with a tag displaying a UK number. Despite numerous attempts to contact the number, they were unsuccessful as the phone just rang out. The chip in Izzy revealed that she was registered to an address in the UK, which matched the phone number on her tag.

Airport Police and Gardaí worked together to free Izzy from the vehicle, and the shelter is hoping that there is a reasonable explanation for her abandonment. They are urging anyone who knows or is Izzy’s owner to come forward and provide information on what happened.

Fortunately, Izzy shows no signs of being abused or mistreated by her owners. The shelter described her as a very friendly and well-behaved girl who is good with other dogs and is toilet trained. She appears to have been well looked after and is in good condition.

If Izzy’s owners do not come forward, she will be available for adoption once her “stray days” are complete. Those interested in adopting Izzy can contact the shelter through phone, WhatsApp, Messenger, or Instagram.
