Growing up, Kieron ‘Gunz’ Bryan felt like he didn’t have many options. He felt like he had to choose between the streets or football, and he ended up choosing the streets. He didn’t see any other way at that time. He lived in tough areas like Hackney and Moss Side, where good role models were hard to find. Bryan followed the path of crime, quickly becoming successful. By the time he was in his late teens and early 20s, he was making a lot of money selling guns and drugs. But, as expected, his criminal activities came crashing down.
Bryan got into a feud with a bouncer, which led to a violent confrontation. He was identified as the gunman in a shooting incident and was arrested. While in prison, Bryan sent a coded message to his sister, offering a bribe to the victim. The code was decoded by a forensic linguist, revealing Bryan’s attempt to influence the case. He was eventually found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
During his time in prison, Bryan had a change of heart. He started reading books and educating himself. This shift in mindset transformed his life. He read 250 books during his sentence and upon his release, he pursued higher education, started a business, and became a public speaker. He realized that a life of crime doesn’t lead to a fulfilling future.
Bryan now focuses on positive endeavors like education, entrepreneurship, and helping others. He understands that the path he was on only leads to prison or worse. He believes in leaving a legacy that involves success and fulfillment, not crime and violence. His story is one of redemption and transformation, showing that it’s never too late to turn your life around. By choosing a different path and investing in personal growth, Bryan has found a new purpose and direction in life.
