Two brothers from Manchester, Hassan Nadeem, 32, and Zain Nadeem, 21, were caught by police in Peterborough, almost 200 miles away from home, for drug dealing. The police noticed known drug-users getting in and out of their car, a Toyota Yaris, near a Waitrose and Asda car park on October 26 last year. Despite the brothers claiming that no one else had been in the car, the officers found £1,490 worth of heroin and crack cocaine hidden under the passenger-side window controls. Additionally, nearly £800 in cash and three mobile phones with drug-supply messages were discovered.
Both brothers, residents of Burnage Lane, appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on November 13. They pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin. Hassan was sentenced to two years and four months in jail, while Zain received a two-year suspended sentence.
