Bella May Culley, an 18-year-old British teenager, has found herself in a bit of a pickle after allegedly getting caught smuggling a hefty 30 pounds of cannabis through Tbilisi International Airport in Georgia. The poor lass had been missing for a while, sparking an international search operation, only to end up in a not-so-great situation.
Not really sure why this matters, but Culley could be looking at a potential 20 years behind bars in Tbilisi Prison No.5, the only female prison in the country. Not the kind of holiday souvenir one would hope for, right? The prison is said to be a bit rundown, with cramped and unsanitary conditions. Yikes.
The whole ordeal started when Culley’s family lost contact with her during her supposed vacation in Thailand. Turns out she was on a backpacking journey that took a turn for the worse with the drug smuggling incident in Georgia. Now, her dreams of becoming a nurse might be put on hold as she deals with the consequences of her actions. Let’s hope for the best for the poor lass.
