prison-officer-suffers-slash-njuries-in-strangeways-attack

Police are gonna start looking into another attack on prison officers, which is just the latest in a string of recent incidents. This time, it went down at Strangeways prison where a officer got ‘slash’ injuries on a Friday morning. The poor guy had to be taken to the hospital for treatment after the incident. Seems like the injuries weren’t too serious, though, since he was released later on.

Not really sure where exactly in the high-security prison the attack happened, or what exactly went down. The details are pretty scarce at the moment. What we do know is that Greater Manchester Police are on it and are getting ready to launch an investigation. No word yet on whether they’ve made any arrests.

The Ministry of Justice confirmed that they’re gonna do a ‘full investigation’ and they’ve already passed the info over to the police. The Prison Officers’ Association is also in the loop and they’re probably keeping an eye on things. The government is even getting involved by appointing someone to lead a review on how the attacker at Strangeways was able to pull off the violent act. Seems like attacks on prison officers are becoming all too common these days.
