Hollyoaks character Ste Hay, portrayed by Kieron Richardson, is on a mission to prove that his late husband James Nightingale, played by Gregory Finnegan, is still alive in the upcoming episodes. Despite the car explosion that supposedly took James’ life, Ste believes he is out there somewhere. He turns to the internet for clues and shares his suspicions with Leela Lomax, played by Kirsty-Leigh Porter. Leela, however, tries to bring Ste back to reality and advises him to focus on his son Lucas Hay, who needs his father’s support after his time in the young offenders unit.
Joel Dexter, portrayed by Rory Douglas-Speed, steps in to help the family and reassure them that Ste is just caught up in his wild theories about James being alive. Meanwhile, Rex Gallagher, played by Jonny Lavey, is seen behaving suspiciously at the garage, which only fuels Ste’s determination to uncover the truth about James.
In another part of the storyline, Marie Fielding, portrayed by Rita Simons, goes on a date with Tony Hutchinson, played by Nick Pickard, despite their divorced status. Their romantic moment is interrupted by Diane Hutchinson, portrayed by Alex Fletcher, who returns unexpectedly from a test. This leads to tension and heartbreak as Diane struggles with her drinking and blames it for the problems in her relationship with Tony.
As the week progresses, Tony seeks advice from Darren Osborne, portrayed by Ashley Taylor-Dawson, about his relationship with Marie. Darren, dealing with his own issues involving JJ and Frankie Osborne, offers his insights while JJ opens up about missing his family in the hospital. The emotional turmoil among the characters sets the stage for more drama to unfold in the upcoming episodes of Hollyoaks.
Viewers can catch Hollyoaks on E4 from Monday to Wednesday at 7pm, with first look episodes available on Channel 4 from 7am. The tangled web of relationships and secrets in the show promises to keep fans on the edge of their seats as Ste’s quest for the truth about James Nightingale’s fate continues to unfold.
