Over 400 residents in Berkshire were left without power for nearly seven hours due to a fault in the underground network. Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) reported that the power outage affected 39 postcodes in Newbury at 13:08 BST on Thursday.

Engineers are currently on the scene working to restore power by 21:00. SSEN stated that the outage was caused by a common type of fault that they have experience dealing with.
